I really liked my experience here. The woman who served & hostess as well as all the runners were very nice to me as a solo diner. My gnocchi was not as light as I am used to & the sauce was more mealy than a silky rich Gorgonzola sauce but it was still very delicious & the grilled shrimp were perfect. I really liked the carpaccio, would have loved a peppery olive oil drizzle, next time I might ask for a side of olive oil. I am really excited to try the bruschetta and chicken marsala. I loved the crème brûlée which you don't see much any more. The berries were not just an afterthought, they were sweet & ripe! My cappuccino was perfect!
I had an amazing experience here for a much-needed date night with my partner after a long week. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. About the food, we tried the carpaccio, focaccia, gnocchi with blue cheese and prawns, and the seafood risotto. Each dish exceeded expectations and was absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on, and you could tell everything was made with care and high quality ingredients. We left feeling completely satisfied and can't wait to return!
My meal was phenomenal. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Paired my meal with a recommended local wine. Great service too. I interacted with 3 staff members and they all were helpful and kind. Perfect portion size , not too much food and not too little either
Had another fabulous lunch at Sugo! The filet mignon salad was excellent as usual, and we tried a couple of items on the daily specials menu. Butternut squash soup and a persimmon salad. Everything was very tasty and wine by the glass continues to be half price at lunch. So many reasons to keep coming back!
4.5 Stars Italian food served in a laid-back, come-as-you-are way is a fave of mine. Who needs to wear Spanx and dress up when you're going out to eat? Not me (anymore). Sugo Trattoria is welcoming, warm, and bustling. The people-watching is also outstanding. The garlic cheesy bread was fantastic as an indulgent starter and my husband's "simple salad" was yummy (my fork fought with his for dominance several times. I was hungrier than I thought I was.). This was no iceberg lettuce and ranch dressing afterthought. I wished I'd ordered my own. Pretty sure my husband would agree. My husband had the seafood risotto. It was rimmed in mussels, which he told me were "cool" in temperature. The portion size of the meal was enormous. He took home the leftovers and had two more meals later; he said that the flavors got better upon reheating. I had the salmon fettuccini. While the flavor of the sauce was fabulous, something about the scent of the meal put me off. I was a bit disappointed. The service was impeccable - for me. I ordered some wine and the waitstaff was quite helpful in offering tastings. My husband, on the other hand, also had wine - but for some reason, they did not offer him a refill. Oddly, I am usually the one who is ignored in restaurants (& in work situations) so watching the tables turn was humorous. We'll be back as overall, it was a great experience. I'd like to try other menu items, plus the staff friendliness and ambiance went a long way towards making it a lovely evening.
Had such an AMAZING dinner with my mom for her birthday. The food was incredible! And the service was as superior. Truly so glad we picked this place for her birthday. I cannot remember the name of the special Penne Pasta they were running that night but it was phenomenal! We were really excited about the Bruschetta Boards and being able to pick multiple types. We loved that the Burrata came out with heart shaped crostini, its was a lovely touch. The salmon fettuccine was incredible, not too heavy not too light. For dessert we had a Crème brûlée (not pictured) and the Lavender Panna Cotta. Or server was so sweet, she really added to the experience. I'm so disappointed I forgot her name. We will definitely be coming back here.
Came for dinner with a group of 5 on a weekend night. We got the bruschetta, garlic bread, seafood risotto, and salmon fettucine alfredo. Everything was really tasty! Everyone especially liked the seafood risotto as it came with generous portions of seafood. Service was super friendly and the environment was cozy and intimate. Prices were also pretty reasonable, came out to around $30-35 a person after tax and tip. Would definitely recommend checking out if you're looking for Italian food in the area!
This is a nice little Italian joint location off the downtown strip. They are known for their variety of assortments of bruschetta and boy are they yummy! You can't go wrong with any of the choices. They also have specials throughout the week. I've ordered the chicken Parmesan special with the kale Caesar salad 2/3 of my visits and it hasn't disappointed. Their wine selection is great too and pairs well with the menu options. They also have outdoor seating with heaters, so I'm always able to bring my pup along with me and eat comfortably. I'd definitely recommend trying this restaurant out if the menu options perk your interest!
Came here for dinner on a rainy Saturday evening. We were told it would be about a 20 minute wait to eat inside, but our table ended up ready in about 5! We were tempted by the pick your own bruschetta board but ended up going with the cheesy garlic bread when we saw how large the bruschetta was. The cheesy garlic bread was a good choice - super garlicky and served piping hot. For entrees I ordered the Fettuccini, Prawns & Scallops and my mom the salmon. Both portions were massive and once again served piping hot. You could see the steam coming off the pasta the whole time it made its way from the kitchen to our table. Both dishes were good, I liked the prawns better than the scallops on my dish, but both were plentiful. The real star of the show was the chocolate mousse. I was pretty stuffed after making it half way through my pasta and said I'd only have a couple bites of the mousse. After a bite or two that quickly changed and I ended up eating about half of it. While not a dessert I'd typically choose to order, I would 100% order this again. It was the best chocolate mousse I've ever had. I was also beyond impressed with the service from start to finish. The hostess was extremely nice and personable as was our server Tracy. For food alone I probably would've given 4 stars, but the service was so great that it took the experience up a notch.
